Hi beauties! Lately I’ve been trying out more natural beauty products, some organic brands and some vegan beauty. I know so many of you are interested in more natural cosmetics, and I’ve also been wondering if there are easy items I can swap to start using items that are better for me. One brand was kind enough to reach out to me, Maple Holistics!
I’m glad to share that they make their products in the US, they’re all natural, cruelty free, and sulfate free. These items are safe for color-treated hair. They kindly sent me a lovely shampoo to try out, with tea tree oil! I’ve always really liked tea tree oil shampoos because I find them so soothing and healing on the scalp. It’s been a while since I’ve had one in rotation, so I was really excited to try this one.
I’ve now been using the Maple Holistics Tea Tree Shampoo for over a month now, to get a good sense of how my hair and scalp react to it, and I’ve been loving it! It lathers up nicely, and easily. And what I found unique about this formulation is that it gives you a really pleasant tingling sensation on the scalp, but it’s not too strong. Other brands I’ve tried are just far too strong in how much they tingle, and it might bother you if you have sensitive skin. But the Maple Holistics shampoo is great, a really nice cooling feeling that will relax you, but not irritate. It also rinses away really cleanly, and leaves your hair feeling fresh.
I also am finding that over time, my hair is getting healthier and regaining it’s natural luster and smoothness. I haven’t been heat styling at all, apart from quickly blow drying my hair after a shower. I do find that this shampoo helps protect your hair and give it a chance to repair itself, because it is not stripping the hair itself with too strong of a cleaning agent, or sulfates.
My husband has also really been liking the shampoo! A little tingle is a fun way to wake up in the morning and it feels like a mini spa-treatment to start your day. I love the gentle scent it gives off, it really reminded me of a spa!
