Hi Friends! Home decor is something I’m thinking about a lot more ever since buying a house and moving into our first home together. It’s been so exciting! I’m not one to invest in super expensive furniture just yet because we are just starting out, but I do think you can create a stylish home with lots of interesting accessories.
Today the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened up to the public, and I’m sharing some beautiful things for home decor! If you’re shopping the sale for other areas too, check out these other related posts too!
Last weekend my husband and I did a really big de-clutter of our house and got rid of a bunch of stuff. I am still going to go through our gym/playroom and a few other areas of the house, but clearing out so much makes me feel like we finally have a clean canvas to start creating more of an atmosphere in here. And I feel “allowed” to invest in some home decor now!
Here are some of the things I’m really loving from the sale. As you can see I’m really into cool greys, white and lighter wood! I hope you like these too! Let’s jump into all my home decor favorites:
$45.90, originally $69.99
I have a mini diffuser at home but I would love a larger one for the main living room and to use the mini one in our bedroom. This one is so adorable and a great design. That lattice design adds a little whimsy which I think makes it cute for a kids room too.
$25.90, originally $39.50
I felt this throw in the store and it is super soft and plush. This would be perfect to snuggle up on the couch and it comes in so many colors. It would be easy to match this to any room’s decor with so many colors to choose from. I also think these would be such a nice gift (especially over the holidays!) so you could get a few extras for gifts.
$29.90, originally $48.00
This cute mirror is such a nice wall decor item. Perfect for a small hallway or entry way!
$60.90, originally $105.00
I really love the boho vibe of this pillow. Because of the neutral single color this piece adds a lot of texture while staying within a serene color palette.
$19.90, originally $35.00
Coasters. Marble. Enough said! These are such a great value for money, and add tons of style to a coffee table. Also make a great gift for others.
$29.90, originally $48.00
Another cute mirror option, this would be great near your front door so you can take a quick look at yourself before you rush out the door and start your day! I would pair this with a cute keyholder on the wall to make a small landing area.
$15.90, originally $24.00
I’m sure you know these are by far the most luxurious smelling candles around! I love how they really scent up a room, even a larger space and these last a long time. A mini set is great value for money and such a nice treat. I love to use these in a bedroom and bathroom.
$32.90, originally $50.00
This frame is such a unique shape, and then bright metallic finish really glams it up. This would brighten up a desk or bookshelf easily, and would be so pretty for a wedding photo! Especially in black and white I think.
$11.90, originally $15.99
I think I saw this in last year’s sale, so I’m really glad to see it back this year. This is part of a bathroom accessories set but you could easily use this for makeup brushes, or pens and pencils on a desk!
$134.90, originally $180.00
I’m currently in the market for a new bedding set, but I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate trying to get duvet covers back on my blankets! There’s certainly a trick to it, but it’s a total workout for me, and I find I can only manage it if my husband is helping, ha! I used to have a really pretty stitched blanket similar to this, by West Elm, that I bought years and year ago. It was in a light ivory color with a warm gray stitching and this reminds of it! Something about the gray version here feels really fresh and updated. Which color do you think I should get?
$171.90, originally $230.00
I want to get a new rug to put under our couch and coffee table, so there’s something soft under our feet and it frames the room. I am also in the market for a new sofa and table though, so I’m not quite sure what size rug to even start with! Any tips?
$30.90, originally $47.00
I spotted these and LOVED the vintage vibe of these champagne coups. Modern flutes are pretty, but these take me back to the 1950’s and there’s something so elegant about the shape of these. These would be a lovely gift for a bridal shower since we are in peak wedding season. If you don’t want to invest in a set of 4 of these, then you could just get the pair and style a bookshelf with them, gorgeous as a home decor item instead of stemware!
I first saw these somewhere as a top pick for a kids room, but I want these for me! The light pink pom poms are so playful and it also comes in neutral or blue. These are great for hiding toys, but also things like magazines, beauty products, and miscellaneous items you want to sort out later. I love that they add great decor to a room while still b functional. If a home decor item does both those things, I think it’s a must-have!
I have flatware from my wedding in a shiny rose gold color, but something about these in brushed gold is so fresh and modern! I love the non-shiny finish of these and they’re a perfect gift for any foodie or food blogger!
Another cult candle favorite, you just can’t go wrong with a Dyptique candle. Such a great value for the complete set!
If you knew me from the days when I worked at West Elm (yes, I did! Story time for another time!) then you know I’ve always, ALWAYS, had a pillow obsessed problem! This one again has a boho vibe to it, but it’s subtle enough to work with other decor styles. The soft color makes it perfect for a bedroom, although it’d be nice on a sofa as well. I do miss those days at West Elm… that’s when I first caught the home decor bug, and it’s never left me!
And there you have it! Something I’m noticing is that I’m very into soft, muted colors right now instead of black and white. I usually love lots of metallics too, but I am gravitating more toward texture than lots of different reflective finishes. Putting together this collage was so fun because it helped me see more of where my style is at these days.
Comment down below and let me know if you liked some of these! Enjoy!
